Outpatient Addiction Therapy
in Scottsdale, AZ
Scottsdale TMS & Spravato offers outpatient addiction therapy for people who want help with alcohol or drug use while they keep up with work, family and daily life. Care brings together individual psychiatry services, individual therapy with a licensed therapist and group therapy with licensed therapists, at our office on E Earll Drive in Scottsdale. Same-day appointments are available, most insurance is accepted and no referral is needed.

What Is Outpatient Addiction Therapy?
Outpatient addiction therapy is structured care for substance use that happens in scheduled visits, so you sleep at home and keep your routine. At Scottsdale TMS & Spravato it combines three services under one team: a psychiatric evaluation and ongoing visits with a psychiatric provider, one-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist, and group therapy led by licensed therapists.
Depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health conditions often go hand in hand with alcohol or drug use. Our providers look at both together, so your mental health and your recovery are treated in one plan instead of in separate offices.
Our Outpatient Addiction Services
Individual Psychiatry Services
Care starts with a one-on-one psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Michael Vines, our Medical Director, or Alyssa Gentile, PMHNP-BC. We review your substance use history, mental health, physical health and current medications, make a diagnosis and write a treatment plan with you.
Follow-up psychiatry visits cover medication management for co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD or bipolar disorder, track how you are doing and adjust the plan as you go.
Individual Therapy With a Licensed Therapist
In private sessions with a licensed therapist, such as Sarah Ann Nguyen, MS, LPC, you work on what drives your use: stress, past trauma, relationships, cravings and the situations that lead to relapse.
Sessions focus on practical skills you can use between visits, goals you choose yourself and a clear plan for the hard moments.
Group Therapy With Licensed Therapists
Group sessions are led by licensed therapists and bring together a small group of people working on their recovery. Groups give you a place to practice new skills, talk openly with people who understand and get support between your individual visits.
Hearing how others handle cravings, setbacks and rebuilding relationships helps many people stay motivated.
Coordinated, Ongoing Care
Your psychiatric provider and therapists work as one team on one plan, and the plan is updated as you progress. If depression is part of the picture, ask about our other treatments, including TMS therapy and Spravato.

Outpatient vs. Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Inpatient and residential programs house you at a facility around the clock. Outpatient therapy fits scheduled visits into your normal week. It is a good fit when you are medically stable, have a safe place to live and want structured support without stepping away from work or family.
Outpatient therapy is not a substitute for medically supervised detox. If you are at risk of serious withdrawal, especially from alcohol, benzodiazepines or opioids, get medical care first. In an emergency, call 911. For free, confidential help finding treatment at any hour, call SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357.
Why Choose Our Practice?
Our practice brings psychiatry and therapy together under one roof. Dr. Michael Vines leads a team of psychiatric providers and licensed therapists who treat substance use alongside the mental health conditions that often come with it.
Every plan is personal, built from a full evaluation and adjusted as you progress, and your care stays private. Meet our team or call (480) 841-9279 to book your first visit.
